I think I am not the first, I think I saw some Air India 777-200LR photographed in this forum. But it's difficult to recognise LR model. It looks very similar to simple B777-200ER, which Air India also use. :-)

ContrailsUK how you manage to get such clear shots of planes flying directly above? For me, using my scope it's very difficult to catch planes flying 80-90 degress above me. And you are using even more powerful telescope :shock:

mainly practise, but also because of the amount of photos I take as the plane flies over ;-)

Also I think because the dobson has steady movement.

Later some clouds covered the sky, but I saw very rare aircraft - B747SP :shock:
It was a great surprise :-) :

Here is first picture with new scope and barlow lens.

Unfortunately pic is backlit, one went right overhead but I couldnt locate it as the finderscope wasnt ligned up properly :lol:
Cant wait to see one with the sun shining on it :->

Well, even for a backlit picture, that's amazingly clear view. Maybe you'll start now photographing planes on other airways which are backlit for you.
Of course now I'm curious to see how the pictures with better lighting will look like. :-)

I managed to photograph one with the sun on it, but then I realised the scope was out of collimation, so the pic is quite blurry. The plane alomst filled the whole frame of the photo :lol: Here it is:
