No photos for ages due to the weather over the UK as DC10MD11 mentioned. But finally a clear day arrived with some fantastic viewing conditions!!

British airways 772 flying through some thick cirrus creating a "rainbow contrail" effect

This was the highlight of the day, Virgin Atlantic G-VLIP turned early so I was able to get a much better angle. It also climbed quicker than the other gatwick departures so I was able to get a shot with a contrail! It came out well so I decided to upload a large pic (1600px)
